wow looks great. Hope both moves go well for you:)
Thank you wolfbaby
Welcome to the world of your own domain. One way to move your old posts from your old wordpress blog to this new one is to copy the feed of your old blog. If you notice in your admin panel, wordpress allows you to import entire feeds. So assuming you are running your current domain (www.catscanman.net) using wordpress, all you need to do is, copy first your old wordpress blog’s feed entirely as a file into your local computer. This I guess you know how to do. then simply go to your current domain’s admin panel and import (last tab) the feed from your computer and lo you should have all of your old posts including time stamps intact, imported into your new domain. As far as comments are concerned, you can still do the same thing of importing the feed of the older comments, but it sometmies doesn’t match up with the appropriate posts and ends up as a separate chunk of a post full fo comments or worst, ends up as comments to some inappropriate posts. But I am sure the posts import feed trick would certainly work. I recently did this from my web domain (check my website). And Navin (www.blogocentricity.com) would vouch for my sanity…;)
Hi Arunn, I saw that in the WP forum, but decided against getting my old posts via RSS feeds. I kind of like the WP.com blog too, so I’m going to let it remain as a permanent archive. I’ve blogrolled you and I’ve checked your site. Have to read a few of your posts. I’m especially interested in your Tamil posts. If you see my next post, there are a few Tamil words in Unicode Tamil characters in it..
