Listen to the Moof.

I firmly believe that when it comes to trying out cool new stuff in blogs, no one can beat Moof. Evoca Browser Mic

It looks like I was the first to try out one the toys that has been in her blog for some days now.

She has a plugin (with instructions) in her right sidebar (see picture on the right) which allows you to send recorded voice messages to her.

I experimented with the Evoca Browser Mic in her blog a few a days ago. I just shouted out a ‘breathless’ message.

Moofie, being made of better stuff, responded with a very nice reply.

I have reproduced her recorded reply here with her permission.

I am sure many of you will not be surprised that she sounds so cultured, warm and caring. :)

And that she has visions of a voice-based blogosphere rather than the text-based ones that we are used to.

Since vlog has already been taken up for video blogs, I wonder what they would call a voice blog?

One thing is for sure though, the blogosphere is going to become boisterous.

You can get a Browser Mic for your blog too after you sign up here.

In anticipation of the question….. I have signed up and installed the plugin.

But I haven’t figured out yet how to place the Browser Mic properly in my sidebar.

Rest assured that I’ve appealed to an expert for help ;)

  1. 1 It's me, T.J.

    *cool*

But I would be too shy to use it…

I don’t think my voice sounds very good at all.

But it’s a great idea and a very neat invention!

    Vijay, you’re always so kind!

I sound like a silly school girl … *blush*

I’ve left you a voice message in your Evoca. Also, I told you that no one else had sent me a message, and that’s not quite true … Id forgotten taht Ripple sent me one the other day. Soon enough - everyone will be speaking their comments!

Now if we can only get people into Skype so that we can all communicate vocally in real time - for free.
