I know Whodunnit.

A news tidbit in the Newscape section of the local newspaper today, which was probably ignored or relegated as an insignificant oddity by most readers.

Animals at large.
Morning commuters in Berlin on Wednesday found themselves sharing the road with escapees from a zoo: six horses, three camels, two goats and a llama.

But I’m made of better stuff (I have a better guru). This called for further investigation.

A Google News search yielded six articles carrying the same story from AP Berlin.

This one is from the Irish Examiner.

Zoo escapees join rush hour traffic in Berlin

Berlin commuters today found themselves sharing the road with 12 escapees from a German zoo – six horses, three camels, two goats and a llama.
The animals escaped from a small petting zoo in the east of the capital and appeared shortly before 7am at a busy roundabout a few hundred yards away, police said. Their bid for freedom, which led to minor disruption, but no injuries, was ended swiftly. Police said the horses were caught in a nearby park and the llama at a cemetery. The others also were apprehended.
It was not immediately clear how the animals were able to escape.

Some questions that arose in my mind.

  1. Why hasn’t Rob commented on this? There are goats and a llama involved!
  2. Is he lying low after masterminding the great escape?
  3. Is the person we know as Rob Lamberts really Brad Pitt.

I arrived at the last hypothesis following some clear logical thinking.

The number twelve and the llama are the crucial clues.

To a finely tuned almost paranoid intelligence like mine, the answer was obvious.

There have been some comments about the way Rob’s mind works.

Even I know that Jeffery Goines is a fictional character played by Brad Pitt.

Let’s review the salient features of the case:

  • Twelve animals including two goats and a llama mysteriously escape from a Berlin zoo.
  • We know Rob can’t resist writing about anything involving goats and llamas.
  • Yet, all is quiet on the western front.

Hence, he must be the one whodunnit.

From there it is but a small leap of deductive reasoning to arrive at the conclusion that Rob is infact Brad.

One additional question that I hope Rob will answer in his Ask Dr. Rob section, which already has one great entry.

What was the llama doing in the cemetery?

I personally think it was trying to visit the grave of one of its previous incarnations. But I would like to know the truth from the guru.

Umm…. I was doing….something when that all happened. Angelina My Wife can attest to the fact that I was just sitting at home talking to Tom Cruise my mother.

Did Rob miss this on his llama and goat newsfeed? Perhaps he’ll report later when he has double checked the salient facts. We can only hope.
