Borrowing from my daughter’s life again for PhotoHunt.
This is one of the small lunch boxes that she takes to school. I think this one combines functionality with great looks.

The lunch box has two levels separated by the white plate on the left and a two-level lid, a white opaque one with holders for the cute spoon & fork and a transparent curved one with cartoon figures. All held together by the blue elastic band.
My daughter’s lunch for the day consisted of a bunch of mini idlis, some kothamalli (coriander) chutney and a few pieces of peeled saththukudi (mausambi / sweet lime).
I don’t know how much of this came back uneaten - a common problem in our house.
Check out the cool paisley design of our dining table. It is the oldest item of furniture in our house. I ‘borrowed’ it from my parents when I moved to Salem. They’ve had it since they moved into a house of their own back in 1977.
Have a great weekend everyone.

This is a neat photo for the theme Vijay. Educational as well for us.
Sorry I wimped out this week. A very busy one for me with my lunch for 16. Did you like my “long” Vikram Seth book last week? I had the most fun with the “red” theme.
Have a good weekend between working.

That’s a nice lunchbox. I showed my son and he said “I want it too!!”
hahaaa… have a good weekend
The lunch boxes are very practical and cute. Good idea for the theme.
It’s small but really practical for kids to take food. It’s definitely too small for my appetite.. haha.
That’s a beautiful lunchbox ! I think I have to uptdate myself I was already so proud that my son had a luchbox with Superman on it, lol ! but that was almost 30 years ago !
Lunch looks quite yummy
I love the paisely - its actually a very favorite pattern of mine.
Its funny you mention the age of your dining room table; Fidel and I were doing a similiar excercise about the furniture in our apartment. I think our oldest piece is my dresser. My folks bought it before I was born, and at that it was a second handpiece that already had many years on it :0
I like the table!
Nice small lunchbox….. can I try some of the food?
That is a cute lunch box.
Are the foods normally served hot?
Christmas Day is coming soon for us here in the United States. Then it will be New Year’s.
Of course… I have to share holiday greetings with everyone I know. Even if they don’t share all of the same holidays.
; )
It’s just something I’ve ‘gotta do’.
Just stopping by to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Blessed and Prosperous New Year.
later…
Love this tiny lunch box. Very sweet and the contents look delicious.
School lunches always are secondary to recess in my parenting experience! My son chucks his carefully-prepared lunch in a trash can and races for the playground. I observed this firsthand and was horrified. Even well-behaved daughter and her bookish friends prefer to spend lunch time talking and pay little attention to their meal. Hah, someday they may be like me and find lunch the highlight of their day? Hope not, actually.
Nice post and fine coverage of your photo-theme!
