wow vj, i can’t imagine you on that bike!! i couldn’t get interested in that again, though Alex has been biking again (i’m the one who needs the excercise!) i’ve stuck to my walking for excercise. let us know how you progress.

JMB: Thanks. I’m going to get a yellow jersey after I convince my pals who go walking with me to switch to cycling. My wife talked (actually stared) me out of getting the helmet, elbow & knee pads, etc,.

Mary: Go get one with a basket with all the hard cash that you’re making sitting on babies The basket is custom-fitted. My wife tried out a couple of baskets to see which one is just right for her shoulder bag o.O

Ian: I agree with you on the regular exercise. The rainy season has started & I’m not too sure if the ground that we walk/jog on will be open everyday. Biking will help. I got the bike for a fraction of what I’d have had to spend on a treadmill. I don’t have space for a treadmill in my house anyway.

I just got some ‘friendly advice’ from my department’s manager. He doesn’t think it’s a good idea if the consultant radiologist came to work on a bicycle. I don’t think I’m going to heed that advice.

That’s great Vijay!

I haven’t looked back since we got our bikes and am really enjoying getting out and about.

Not practical for me to use it for work; I’m not up to a 19 mile (30km) ride to work. I am feeling a lot fitter and full of energy now I’m exercising again. I hadn’t realised how much difference regular exercise made until I started again.

No WAY!!! I have always wanted a red bike with a basket!! I still bring up the subject to my parents when talking about either bikes or things that I always wanted but never got!! I brought it up just the other day, actually! I’m sooo jealous of that bike right now! It looks like a good one!

Now I’m going to want my own bike!! With a basket!! And I have no clue what I’d keep in the basket, but trust me, when I figure it out, it’ll be something awesome. The reason I wanted a basket when I was a kid was so that I’d be able to carry stuff around. I used to walk around in big baggy boy jeans because the pockets were big enough to carry all the stuff I carried around!
