		<description>Don't worry, the "/?p=xxx" and /?m=yyyymm", etc. are based on absolute unique ids and other static data in your 'posts' table that don't depend on permalinks.  Since I'm a db geek and was originally doing some drupal-&#62;wp scripting for the drupal community, my permalinks end in the actual post_id (?p=xxx) because at the time it mattered to &lt;i&gt;me&lt;/i&gt; what it was.  Now I'm probably going to change it to post slug (word-readable) but leave the rewrite rules in place for the old style too.  Realize that you can have any number of permalink structures if you modify your .htaccess manually; the WP utility gives you the current form, but you can chain the rules one after the other so that any would be caught and used.
